There are no undergraduate prerequisites for the concentration as a whole. However, CS 152L, MGMT 330, or an equivalent programming course or experience is a prerequisite for MGMT 632, 634, and 637. Please contact Professor Flor concerning waivers for the programming prerequisite based on experience or on courses other than CS 152L or MGMT 330.
The current program requirements have been in effect since Fall 2007. The concentration consists of 15 credit hours of graduate MIS coursework. Two courses are required of all students unless waived:
Waivers of these courses may be based on similar undergraduate or graduate course work or on experience. For MGMT 634 and 637 waivers contact Professor Flor.
Other courses that satisfy MIS concentration requirements include:
Students may apply multiple MGMT 639 courses to their concentration requirements as long as the topics vary.
With advance permission from the program advisor, students may also apply graduate-level courses offered by other departments such as Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering to their MBA-MIS concentration requirements (e.g., ECE 595).
